It’s an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection in January 2019!A rare opportunity has arisen for a professionally HCPC registered art psychotherapist to join the team delivering specialist treatment for adults with personality disorders within our therapeutic community (TC).

This fixed term post is to cover maternity leave.

Ash Eton is an established TC and a member of the The Royal College of Psychiatrist’s Quality Network, Community of Communities.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive and enthusiastic team, proven to provide effective and life changing treatment for people with complex personality disorders.

The TC runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and you would be required to work these days, plus Thursdays.

You will have experience of working with people with complex presentations and ideally you will have clinical experience of working with people with personality disorder in psychodynamic therapy groups groups.

You will be committed to the TC values and principles, and motivated to further develop the specialist skills required to work within this intense yet highly rewarding environment.

You will be working within a multi-disciplinary service which includes Psychotherapists, Art Therapist, Group Analyst, Drama Therapist and Clinical Psychologist offering exciting opportunities for creative work.

The Trust has a second therapeutic community in Maidstone and there will be opportunities for both teams to come together to share learning experiences and work together on service developments.

You will receive ongoing group clinical supervision with the team, an externally facilitated fortnightly Process Group as well as professional / clinical support from the Consultant Psychotherapist and Clinical Lead for the specialist PD service.

While there will be many development opportunities within this role, as it is a fixed term post we are seeking to appoint an established therapist who will be able to take on the challenges of this role with confidence.

This post is subject to a six month probationary period for candidates external to the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
