About the Role
The Department of Health & Social Care is seeking a new Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the Mental Health Service.
The main job purpose is to provide specialist cognitive behaviour therapy service to the Community Mental Health Service for Adults (CMHSA) providing specialist assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice, training and consultation on psychological care to other health professional colleagues and to other, non-professional carers and families, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
You will undertake the lead role in offering specialist cognitive behaviour therapy interventions, advice and supervision while applying an empirical approach to psychological problems expressing concepts in operational terms and empirically evaluating treatment, using both group and single case experimental designs in everyday clinical practice.
