This job is banded at band 6 under agenda for change and on-call payments framework will apply. 

The Havens are a partnership initiative between the Metropolitan Police and the NHS to improve the care offered to people who have experienced sexual assault/rape.

We are seeking motivated, dedicated, non-judgemental crisis workers to provide on-call, out of hours cover for the forensic service within The Havens.

There is a requirement to be able to reach your base Haven within 60 minutes of being called out. You will be required at times to cover any Havens site to ensure service delivery, in times of annual leave or sick leave.

Your main base site will be the closest to your home where possible.

You will also assist the administration and management process of clients (women, men and children) attending the Havens, providing sensitive and empowering advocacy support, while assisting the Sexual Offences Examiner during the examination and support with collection of forensic evidence.

You are required to be a qualified nurse, counsellor or social worker with a relevant degree/diploma qualification.

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate recent work experience within sexual health, family planning or a related health/social care field.

Excellent communication skills and an understanding of the impact of serious sexual assault is required.

A minimum of 3 shifts per month including week nights and occasional weekends is required plus 1 bank holiday per year.
