Domestic Abuse Practitioner Required: Colchester, Essex

£21,852 – £23,077 depending on experience 37.5 hrs per week
The post-holder(s) will be responsible for providing high quality specialist front-line domestic abuse support to people living in the area, working with colleagues and other statutory and voluntary agencies to assist service users to access services to support and keep them safe and to rebuild their lives.
They will also be responsible for developing partnerships and relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies and local and national specialist agencies working within the local community, and to work with those agencies to increase staff awareness and to increase confidence, skills and knowledge in relation to domestic abuse.

We’re looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about supporting victims of domestic abuse.
You will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of domestic abuse and its impact on service users and their children, and experience of working with victims who have experienced domestic abuse including strong casework management skills and good knowledge of trauma-informed care.
You will also have excellent verbal and written communication and good IT skills.
A friendly, flexible ‘can do’ attitude is essential for this role, which will also need to work within a multi-agency, partnership environment to secure the very best outcomes for our service users.
