A qualified counsellor is required to assist the Fertility Unit of Nottingham University Hospital (NUH), based at Queens Medical Centre.
The requirement is for a ‘zero hours’ contract and a person who can make themselves available at times of high demand or as cover for annual leave and sickness.
The person must be a qualified counsellor and will ideally have BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) accreditation.
The Fertility Unit (NUH) comprises a small but highly motivated team of scientists, nurses, clinical and support staff providing both diagnosis and treatment of fertility problems.
The department speciliases in donor banking and the provision of donor insemination, therefore the candidate must have a working knowledge of HFEA regulations and experience in delivering implications counselling to donors and recipients.
