Counsellor Required (Spectra): London
(working with trans, non-binary and gender-diverse service users)
£31,166 FTE plus pension contribution: Part-time post (pro rata for 1 day per week)
Spectra CIC is seeking a qualified counsellor who has the skills and experience to deliver counselling to trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people.

You will provide individual counselling, for which you will have an excellent understanding of the mental, sexual, and broader health and well-being needs of trans people, and experience of working with people of diverse gender identities around complex issues.
You will have a good knowledge of safeguarding and of linked services. You will maintain and protect client records, reporting monthly to ensure consistent and high-quality therapeutic service delivery as part of the Trans Empowerment and Support Programme funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.
Spectra’s services are peer delivered, and we are looking for someone who Identifies as Trans/Non-Binary and/or gender-queer.
Spectra is based in Ladbroke Grove. We are currently delivering all counselling via online platforms.
Applications from people of trans/NB/gender-queer experience and people of Black, Asian or Minority Ethnicity are particularly encouraged.

Spectra CIC is seeking a Lead Counsellor who will lead the team of counsellors at Spectra. If you feel passionately about addressing inequalities and have a mission to support and empower people, we want to hear from you.
You will provide clinical oversight of Spectra’s various counselling services and development of provision. You will input at a strategic level into future service delivery options and long term positioning of counselling services and relationships, whilst ensuring consistent, high quality counselling is delivered across all Spectra’s teams – young people, sexual health, trans and non-binary.
You will have an excellent experience and understanding of the mental, sexual and broader health and well-being needs of LGBTQI+ people, safeguarding, confidentiality and sensitivity.
Spectra’s services are peer delivered so we encourage applications from people with lived experience in the areas we deliver – LGBTQI+, HIV, BAME.
Spectra is based in Ladbroke Grove, though currently delivering via online platforms and home working is therefore essential, however there will be some return to face to face counselling post Covid-19.
