This post is available as a full time working equivalent (37.5 hours, or as part-time hours as part of a job share (e.g. 1 x 22.5 hours and 1x 15 hours).
There is a great opportunity to join an innovative and growing Clinical Health Psychology Department within a large acute hospital trust, to work as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist specifically into the trust’s Occupational Health and Staff Well-being Service.
This post is open to applications from highly motivated, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified Counsellors/Psychotherapists.
The successful candidate will work as an embedded part of the Occupational Health and Staff Well-being service. The Occupational Health and Staff Well-being service is a growing and ever developing service, which is reflexive to the many needs of a large NHS workforce.
The psychological well-being of staff working at the trust is rightly receiving an ever-increasing focus, which presents the challenge and opportunity for development and innovation in order to meet its needs. In doing this the successful candidate will work alongside a range of highly skilled staff.
These include the Head of Occupational Health and Staff Well-being service, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Senior Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Occupational Therapists, Specialist Practitioners, Occupational Health Nurses, and Health and Well-being Co-coordinators. The post also benefits from strong links into the West Yorkshire Integrated Care System, and the regional staff well-being developments.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic, highly motivated and resourceful individuals with strong skills in delivering Counselling interventions/Psychological Therapy.
The post holder will work as part of a team, who work closely to be responsive and proactive to meet needs identified, and to develop the service. The ability to work well and collaborate within a team is essential.
The post holder will provide psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment to individual staff members, as well as advice and consultation to professional colleagues. There will also be exciting opportunities to deliver teaching and training across the trust.
The successful candidate will become a member of the Clinical Health Psychology department, which is a growing health psychology service, offering good opportunities for professional support and development.
We actively encourage and support supervision, CPD and service-related research. As a department we take trainees from several local training courses in Clinical Psychology and have good academic links to the local training courses.
Clinical and professional supervision and support will be provided by experienced Clinical Psychologists within the Clinical Health Psychology Department.
