Counsellor Required: Bebington, The Wirral

 

Salary £26,168 – £32,165 (Agenda for Change pay increase pending)

We are searching for an extra special Counsellor who has experience and passion for working therapeutically with parents, grandparents and children. We are looking for an empathic, warm and understanding Counsellor to work as part of the Family Support and Counselling team in all Claire House settings, WIRRAL Hospice, Liverpool Day therapy unit and the community setting. This role offers a perfect opportunity to develop your counselling skills and experience in this specialist field. A comprehensive training program will be provided.

This role will be to provide short and long term one to one counselling to parents, grandparents and where appropriate to work therapeutically with children. This position will require you to work mainly within the two hospices, at home and in some cases within a school environment.

You will be expected to work flexibly Monday – Friday. Occasionally you will need to be prepared to work some evenings and weekends.

Key skills for this job include: Experience of counselling over a wide range of emotional difficulties including bereavement. Excellent communication skills; ability to work in a small team; ability to work autonomously; flexible; car driver.

A full training package will be tailored to the individual. We also offer comprehensive group clinical supervision as well as a substantial financial contribution toward 1:1 external counselling clinical supervision to ensure you maintain resilient in this role.
