Newham University Hospital Gynaecology Services are looking for an enthusiastic and exceptional individual for the role of Counsellor in a permanent position.
The ideal applicant would have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude, with a commitment to improve the service.
You will be an approachable counsellor who connects with staff and patients at all levels. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the provision of high-quality women centred care for every one of our patients.
Working within Gynae Services, the Counsellor is a key member of the team who can help to address patient concerns to prevent and reduce complaints.
The post holder will have specific responsibility for providing high quality services with a focus on improving patient experience and outcomes.
You will be part of a small friendly team who are respected and committed to providing a high standard of care.
We aim to deliver holistic care for our patients and those important to them and therefore work closely alongside members of the multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, person-centred care, that is evidence-based.
You will be an experienced and enthusiastic counsellor who is passionate about improving patient experience and supporting women and their families with pregnancy loss.
Experience/ Qualifications
Essential
- Degree/Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years counselling experience
- Evidence of continued professional development Registered to BACP/UKCP
