The Bradley Therapy Service provides psychological therapies and counselling to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and emotional distress within Kent Prisons. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic counsellor who has the personal and professional qualities to take on challenging work within prisons. The post is three days a week and the successful candidate will work flexibly across the prisons in the Sheppey cluster according to demand. As some of our clients go out to work during the day, we are exploring the possibility of offering an out of hours service in one of the prisons. Therefore, the successful candidate would need to be willing to support this. They will provide counseling on an individual and group basis and will contribute to the development of psychological and counseling services in the prisons.

The Bradley Therapy Service is linked to the Mental Health Inreach Teams in each prison and falls within the Oxleas Forensic and Prisons Directorate.  The successful post holder will be required to undergo and pass all prison security requirements as well as all Oxleas employment requirements. Evidence of professional registration will be required.
