If you are looking to expand your experience within a supportive and friendly intervention team this is an ideal opportunity for you!
This post would suit a counsellor looking to expand their clinical practice, either in terms of broadening their experience by working with different client groups or by using different therapeutic modalities and orientations.
You will be working across two areas of our organisation:
Orchard House Family Assessment Centre provides ‘outstanding’ [latest Ofsted Inspection, 2019] parenting and psychological assessments to local authorities and Family Courts nationwide.
Somerset Clinic is an independent provider of responsive psychological services for both adults and children in need of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
You will join a supportive and friendly intervention team including Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, and Parenting Intervention Workers, committed to ensuring the provision of psychologically-informed assessment and intervention. You will be encouraged to develop your own interests, in line with service need, in providing evidence-based psychological interventions.
Working within our wider multi-disciplinary team, you will have a track record of working effectively with a range of presenting difficulties, including for example domestic abuse, substance misuse, and mental health difficulties, and drawing on various theoretical models such as CBT, family therapy, solution-focussed principles, or attachment theory.
We are committed to helping parents to demonstrate their best possible parenting capacity to fully meet their children’s needs and we make a vital contribution towards the decision-making process that impacts upon the lives of children and families.
If you share our core value of compassion and our dedication to supporting some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people and families, then we would love for you to join us.
