The Let’s Talk Wellbeing Service provides Psychological Therapies to patients in Leicester City presenting with Mild to Moderate common mental health problems and is commissioned by the Leicester City CCG.

An opportunity has arisen for a BACP accredited (or equivalent) counsellor, who has completed or willing to complete  the Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression Training (PCE-CfD) to join Let’s Talk Wellbeing across Leicester City, a diverse and demanding IAPT service.

The successful applicant will work with people who present with mild to moderate Anxiety and/or Depression, utilising NICE Guidance and IAPT recognised interventions and tools alongside a team comprising of counsellors, psychological wellbeing practitioners and cognitive behaviour therapists amongst other modalities. Under appropriate supervision and dependent on experience, patient contact will include assessment clinics, 1:1 treatment packages, and group work.   These will be delivered in a number of community settings which are highly accessible to the local population.

Due to the situation with COVID-19 we have been working remotely by video consultation or telephone but are working on a restoration and recovery phased return which will include some face to face and some remote working.

The post holder will be a BACP accredited Counsellor  who will provide a professional, competent and ethical brief counselling service from various locations within Leicester City, in line with the agreed Let’s Talk Wellbeing service description and referral guidelines. The post holder will have completed the Person Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) training or be willing to attend this training once in post.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
