We are seeking to recruit Counsellors to join our teams based in Poole or West Dorset.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the appropriate skills, experience and qualifications to join a highly motivated, professional and committed team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Diploma in Counselling, have a Certificate of Proficiency or be working towards accreditation with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) or an accredited training provider.

You will be expected to provide Counselling via a digital platform and telephone and when Covid-19 restrictions allow, provide face-to-face appointments. It is essential you are able to provide short term time limited treatment, have enthusiasm to facilitate groups online and have excellent administration and communication skills. The successful candidate will work as part of a team and be expected to work flexibly to meet with service demand.

Previous experience of working in an NHS mental health setting, Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service or similar organisation would be highly desirable.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.  This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
