We are looking for a highly, motivated individual to join our bespoke Rehabilitation after critical illness (RACI) team. We have a multidisciplinary team made up of Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
The RACI team will be based on our two main sites to support the care of patients post critical illness who require further support to aid recovery and psychological needs.
The Trust has two general adult Critical care units, Darlington Memorial hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.
The RACI counsellor will work across Trust to support holistic rehabilitation needs set as part of a rehabilitation programme, set up and run clinics / support groups based within and outside of the hospital sites.
Good communication and leadership are essential for the role , the applicant must hold a counsellor qualification at degree level , have trained in trauma focused CBT and have a minimum of 2yrs experience working in or supporting a critical care environment. The individual must have a professional qualification which should be either that of a Nurse or Allied health professional.
