Beacon Counselling is a registered charity that exists to improve mental health and well-being for all. Beacon provides counselling to children and young people at various schools throughout Greater Manchester. As part of our continued development as a charity we are recruiting to add another counsellor to our growing CYP team providing counselling to pupils at a number of schools across Greater Manchester.

Working closely the Children’s Service Manager, CSM assistant and counselling colleagues, you will play a vital role in Beacon’s commitment to delivering high quality mental health services. As well as being a skilled therapist, you will have a passion for improving the mental health of children and young people and able to act as an ambassador for Beacon within the school. You will be comfortable delivering presentations as part of school assemblies and also providing formal support to some staff within schools.

We are looking for someone who is motivated to succeed through working autonomously and with others, has high standards of work, and is passionate about seeing the best outcomes for clients, ensuring Beacon builds on its success in helping others. Beacon would like to achieve greater diversity in all areas of our workforce and particularly want to encourage people from minority backgrounds to apply.  If you are unsure about applying then please contact us directly and we will answer your questions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the voluntary sector, and who likes working in a busy and thriving environment.
