Self-employed Counsellor/Therapist Required: Remote Work
Closing Date: 8 November 2020
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Location: This is a remote working/ working from home position
Would you like to work for an organisation steeped in history but focused on the future and recognised worldwide as an organisation of excellence? An organisation that promotes a healthy work/life balance and recognises and rewards achievements? If so, then Norland is the place for you.
We have recently been awarded the Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) Gold standard for delivering consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for our students. In March 2019 we were also granted Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) by the Privy Council and now offer our own BA (Hons) Early Years Development and Learning degree alongside the prestigious Norland Diploma.
We are looking to appoint a self-employed counsellor to join our busy and thriving Student Support Team. You will need to be committed to providing high quality counselling or therapy and must hold a qualification in counselling or other appropriate psychological therapies, to at least diploma level, or equivalent.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the issues facing the students in Higher Education, have experience in time limited work and hold a current membership of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists or the UK Council for Psychotherapy, or equivalent.
Initially, we would like the successful candidate to be available for up to 2 and a half hours for one evening per week, approx. 7 to 9.30 pm, throughout the year. However, these hours are not guaranteed at any time; demand for services will vary. The day on which hours are required will be subject to change and therefore we need someone who can be flexible.
You will need to be a self-starter, with the ability to get on well with people and be highly organised. A flexible approach to College work and a friendly, approachable nature are key to being successful in this role.
