Student Wellbeing is seeking to recruit a part-time, fixed-term Senior Counsellor to work term-time only. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who has experience and a passion of working with students requiring support. In return you’ll be offered excellent clinical supervision and a supportive team environment.
You will hold a clinical caseload and provide counselling to Bournemouth University students who refer to Student Wellbeing. At present, this is predominantly being carried out via telephone and Attend Anywhere and based working from home.
Applicants will have advanced training in the theory and practice of counselling and be accredited with an approved professional body (e.g. BACP).
Previous experience of working with students is desirable but not essential for this post. Applicants without previous experience must be able to demonstrate an ability to transfer skills from previous experience to this demographic.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
