Main location of work is at SASH offices within three-boroughs: Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster.

 

METRO is seeking a committed, motivated and suitably qualified individual to deliver counselling for people dealing with issues related to their sexual health, including people living with HIV (PLWHIV) within the Support and Advice for Sexual Health (SASH) programme.

Programme

METRO, in partnership with Turning Point, NAZ and London Friend deliver a model of sexual health support throughout the three London boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. Turning Point is the lead partner for the contract, and a matrix staffing model is in place. The post-holder will work within the partnership and be line-managed by METRO SASH Counselling Manager, and work alongside staff from other agencies. The role will also be clinically supervised via an independent supervisor arranged through METRO.

Role

The post holder will deliver high-quality person-centred service within a busy inner London environment. The clients are from diverse communities affected by sexual health and mental health issues. The role will support staff to work with people from diverse communities such as LGBTQ and Black and Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) people.

The post holder will take referrals from the SASH Care Coordination team, conduct a clinical assessment, and deliver a series of short counselling sessions (up to 12 sessions short-term model) using an integrative counselling model. Working within the SASH teams, and being part of METRO Mental Health Domain, the post holder will be in close liaison with all of our HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health services.
