Do you have a passion for health & wellbeing and do you want to make a real difference in the lives of hospital staff? Come and join us at the Royal United Hospital Employee Assistance Programme where an exciting opportunity awaits you.

The EAP Service is looking for an experienced counsellor or psychotherapist to join our team on a fixed term basis (maternity cover) to enhance the support provided to staff working in the Trust and staff working in key partner organisations such as the University of Bath.

The post holder will hold a clinical caseload providing assessments, including risk assessment, psychological interventions including short-term counselling, stress management and reflective practice and peer support. The post holder will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to promote and deliver stress management and wellbeing activities to hospital staff and will contribute to raising the profile of, and improving access to the EAP Service.

We have an experienced core team and a diverse Associate Counsellor base. You will be offered protected learning time, regular line management supervision with Manager and appropriate independent clinical supervision will be funded by the service.

When you start work in the EAP Service you will be offered a comprehensive Health & Wellbeing Conversation (as per the NHS People Plan 2020) and this will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure your potential in the role is maximised.
