There are a range of developmental posts with the Specialist Perinatal Service available across the Cheshire and Merseyside patch including: Liverpool, Sefton, Cheshire, Wirral, and Mid-Mersey (Knowsley, Warrington, Halton and St Helens). There are full-time posts and require a split between university and the Specialist Perinatal Service.
Important Note: Successful applicants will be invited to attend a joint interview panel with the Specialist Perinatal Service and the University of Chester. Virtual interviews will take place on the 8th and the 15th September 2022 and successful candidates will be asked to choose their locality preferences. On successful completion of the CBT PgDip programme at the University of Chester, you will become a BABCP registered CBT Therapist and progress into a Band 7 CBT Therapist position within the Specialist Perinatal Service.

Main duties of the job
This is a training role within the Cheshire and Merseyside Specialist Perinatal Service. The post-holder will provide high intensity interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. This intensive training post will equip the post-holder to provide a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) service to women with a range of complex problems in the perinatal period for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective.
The full-time post-holder will work in the service for 3 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for the other two days. The part-time post holder will work in the service for 1 day of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the university training programme for one other day.
The post-holders will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
