The SEE (Support, Empower, Educate) Project is a project that supports young women and girls, and non-binary AFAB (assigned female at birth) young people aged 14 – 21 who have been affected by sexual violence through counselling and advocacy work. The counselling service offers up to 20 sessions of counselling.
The Young people’s counsellor will work on a Thursday from East Oxford offering face-to-face counselling to young people between the ages of 14 and 21. This will include evening work up to 8pm (6-7 hrs).
The remaining hours can be worked from home offering online or telephone counselling. This can be on days to suit the counsellor, but needs to be after school hours (from 4pm onwards) as young people have told us this is what they need.
The Counsellor will also be required to attend the Counselling and Groups Team meeting online, Wednesday morning at 9am (usually 30-45 mins) and will also attend at least 1.5 hrs of supervision per month, and a 1-hour line management meeting per month (online).
