ONLINE COUNSELLING & THERAPY: Video Call / Email / Instant Messaging

Traditionally, when we think of counselling or therapy we think of physically meeting a counsellor or therapist.

The encounter is face to face in a quiet private space, and we share our innermost thoughts and feelings.

Meeting online via video call, email, messaging is a very different experience.

As you can see from WhereToTalk, online counselling/ therapy and other online mediums are increasingly popular.

You can choose the length of time you’d like to spend talking, This could be anywhere from 15 minutes to 50 minutes.

The choice of both a live ongoing chat or emailing and messaging and then waiting for the reply is available.

It may not be for everyone but online therapy and counselling certainly gives us more freedom of choice.

As therapy and counselling platforms increase online in number and usage, it becomes more important for comparison studies to be conducted between face to face and online interventions.
