Are you training to be a counsellor or are you looking for a placement that will enable you to work with a diverse range of adults with anxiety and depression?

At Thinkaction, the mental health arm of Addaction, we provide a range of confidential psychological services for those with a range of anxiety and depression, with our well-established and supportive teams based on the IAPT model.

We are one of the leading national charities providing evidence-based support for mental health, substance misuse and family services across the UK.

Thinkaction are currently looking for a Psychological Therapist to join our Surrey team.

You will be providing assessments and interventions for a wide range of mental health problems, including depression and anxiety.

Along with the comprehensive induction, you will have access to supervision and reflective groups throughout your time in this role.

You will have proven qualifications such as a BACP qualification and accreditation (or are ready to submit for accreditation, along with having accomplished the clinical hours required for accreditation), and clinical experience in the application of evidence-based treatment to clients within a counselling model, with relevant experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression.

The post holder is expected to work well within a team setting whilst also being able to deliver an autonomous service as part of the role, operating within recognised professional guidelines.

There may be an opportunity within this role to develop and deliver evidence based group activities and treatment for clients. We actively encourage a team approach and are interested in informing new treatments for eating disorders.

Please note that unlike Addaction, ThinkAction does not typically work with clients with drug and alcohol addiction issues.

The advertised role is sessional, fixed-term or permanent, and can be full-time or part-time.
