We are recruiting a Recovery Counsellor for the New Forest.

This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a creative ethically robust and dedicated team of counsellors, whooffera range of clearly defined psychosocial interventions which are evidence based.

It is a peripertetic post that covers the New Forest area.

It will involve delivering interventions as part of a coordinated recover plan which assists the client to make changes in their substance misusing behaviour, improves their health, social and psychological functioning. QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

Educated to degree / diploma level in Counselling or a Therapeutic Model. For example, BACP recognised course or equivalent (ie minimum 450 hours skills and theory, 120 hours supervised practice, 40 hours personal therapy.) or working towards

Is currently an Accredited Practitioner recognised by a National professional body (BACP accredited; CPC registered; UKCP registered) or working towards.

 

EXPERIENCE

Significant previous experience of working within a substance misuse setting.

 

Significant post qualifying experience of providing counselling services.

Experience of assessing and managing substance misuse clients.

 

Demonstrable evidence of group work facilitation experience.

 

Experience of assessing and managing risk.
